Legacy Lighthouse Academy
A small hybrid academy helping families with5th-8th graders thrive.
About Legacy Lighthouse Academy
I started Legacy Lighthouse Academy after noticing consistent patterns when working with middle school students.
As assignments became more complex and expectations increased students soon became lost in the classroom - not because they weren't capable, but because their foundational skills were lacking.
-
Math was completed, but not understood.
-
Writing lacked structure and clarity.
-
Reading was done, but not retained.
Once these things start to manifest they have loss of connection to what they were learning and lose confidence in what they can do.
Legacy Lighthouse was created to change this by focusing on rebuilding strong academic foundations so that students can understand what they are learning, then they can move forward with confidence.
You don't have to carry the full weight of your child's education alone-specifically when the academic challenges surface.
A Structure That Actually Supports Learning
Students often falter not because of their inability, but because of the lack of clear expectations and consistent, structured guidance.
Legacy Lighthouse Academy is structured to change that.
Students attend two days per week for direct academic instruction, where they are taught in a small group setting and guided toward true understanding.
Instead of trying to manage everything at home without a clear direction, families are supported with:
-
clear academic direction
-
guided assignments
-
and a structure that keeps students moving forward on their academic journery.
On home days, students reinforce what they’ve learned, rather than trying to figure everything out on their own.
With this approach, students can gain confidence, have a better understanding and make sustained academic growth.

What others have said
"Amy is absolutely fabulous! My 4th grader came into the school year with little to no confidence when it came to math and with the help of Amy, he is on the right path again! She made it fun for him, including different kinds of games! Amy is a wonderful communicator and was always on top of things. Thank you again Amy! We may just be back come next school year, after a go go summer!"

About Us
We merge the best of homeschool with the best of private school. Students fifth through eighth can spend two days on campus with teachers covering most core academic subjects. They also have the option of attending our enrichment day covering electives, art, music and much more. Students spend the other days at home with their parents completing the work recommended (or as parent chooses).
Our Story
Since 2020, God has placed a calling on my heart to help students reach their full potential. What began as a desire to foster a love for learning in my own home led me to homeschool my children and eventually start a tutoring business built on care, patience, and purpose.
As I continued to pray and seek guidance, God revealed a greater vision: creating a nurturing learning center where children feel supported, valued, and encouraged to grow. This center was designed for families seeking a Christ-centered environment where students can develop academically while building confidence, character, and a genuine love for learning—surrounded by a like-minded, supportive community.
I am truly blessed to partner with parents in their child’s educational journey. Teaching is not just my profession—it is my calling. I absolutely love being in the classroom and walking alongside students as they discover their strengths and achieve success.
Our vision
Legacy Lighthouse Academy envisions students who are anchored in the Lord, who seek wisdom, desire that which is true, beautiful, and good - enabling them to influence their homes and communities righteously.
Portrait of a Graduate
Legacy Lighthouse partners with parents to educate young men and women who strive to:
Love God - “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength.” - Matthew 22:37
Love Others – Students demonstrate love for others by treating them with respect, caring for the school and environment, and serving their community.
Reason Well –Through a Charlotte Mason education taught in a hybrid model, students develop attention, imagination, and independent thought, equipping them for a lifetime of learning.
Engage Society – Students learn to understand and evaluate culture through a biblical worldview, communicate truth winsomely, and represent Christ well.
Delight in Beauty – Students learn to recognize, appreciate, and love beauty as expressed through art, music, literature, and God’s creation.
Statement of Faith
We believe:
-
The Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, revelation of His will for the salvation of men, and the Divine inspiration for Christian faith and life.
-
God is the Eternal Father.
-
That Jesus Christ is true God and true man. He died on the cross, a sacrifice for our sins, according to the Scriptures. Further, He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, where, at the right hand of the Majesty on High, He is now our High Priest and Advocate.
-
That the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and, during this age, to convict men; regenerate the believing sinner; and indwell, guide, instruct, and empower the believer for godly living and service.
-
That man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and is, therefore, lost; but through our Savior can salvation and spiritual life be obtained.
